Self-care advice sheets and Reg Flag guidance
To support pharmacy teams in this important work, the NPA and Teva have partnered to develop a new series of factsheets.
Each easy-to-use sheet provides information and self-care advice for a range of minor ailments and common conditions.
They also highlight the symptoms that should prompt further investigation or red flag referral.
These advice sheets pack a punch, they support multiple aspects of care delivery:
- They can be used as a training aid for pharmacy teams
- They help teams understand the best treatment option available
- The factsheet can facilitate consultations with patients
- They advise when to refer to a pharmacist or other healthcare professional
- They boost your confidence to advance a ‘pharmacy first’ approach to patient care
- Ultimately, they will support you to deliver the NHS Pharmacy First Service
